after insert the cleaning tape into tape driver
which command(s) should i execute to clean the tape driver?

Use the command,
dd if=/dev/null if=/dev/rmt/0m (whatever your tape device path)

U need have a Cleaning Catridge of that particular vendor.
If you are using of the HP tape drive get a Cleaning catridge, Insert it, U can find the USE CLEANING CATRIDGE LED on the Drive Glowing itself, It will automatically Clean and will just Eject itself.
No operations from u neded

It´s very simple, you introduce the tape, itself cleaning the drive, and itself eject the tape.
Don´t forget to do a little mark on the tape (ballpen) to know how many uses have it.
