Re: How to configure ftp

Hi,

What type of configuration you want to set?

There is a ftpaccess file which you can set.

#man ftpaccess

#man ftpgroups

Re: How to configure ftp

hi priyarajan,
By default ftp services enable in the hp-ux server. At first time there is no any ftpaccess file. You can get the ftpaccess file by following procedure.

The following specifies how to enable or disable the
/etc/ftpd/ftpaccess file:
â ¢ To enable the /etc/ftpd/ftpaccess file, specify the -a option for the ftp entry in the /etc/inetd.conf file.
For example:
ftp stream tcp nowait root /usr/lbin/ftpd ftpd -a -l -d
â ¢ To disable the /etc/ftpd/ftpaccess file, specify the -A option for the ftp entry in the /etc/inetd.conf file.
For example:
ftp stream tcp nowait root /usr/lbin/ftpd ftpd -A -l -d
Otherwise, you can disable the /etc/ftpd/ftpaccess file by not
specifying any option for the ftp entry in the /etc/inetd.conf file.
NOTE Every time you change the /etc/inetd.conf file, you must recompile
the /etc/inetd.conf file by using the command inetd -c.

for detail you can see the attached document.
