how to create oracle raw device on 11.31 using vxvm
Hi
If I wanted to create a usable raw device for oracle in veritas I would do the following:
# vxassist –g sandg make oracle-raw
# vxedit set user=oracle group=dba mode=0666 oracle-raw
- This method does use dynamic multi pathing, but oracle states “it does not support veritas configurations”. This is the reason we have to use the native dynamic multi pathing.
how can i create an oracle raw device on 11.31 using vxvm taking into consideration the native multipathing?
Thank you in advance

What does oracle mean to say "it does not support veritas configurations"?
If you want to migrate to Native Multipathing, check http://docs.hp.com/en/5992-3942/5992-3942.pdf document's "Migrating between DMP and HP-UX native multipathing" section.
