how to kill insf

Hi,
I excuted insf -e command in hp ux 11.11 server.
but it is still running after 5 days. I got hanged. How can i kill that insf since i cant run ioscan command on the server.

I'm sure the insf is not your problem, it is a symptom.
What is the meaning of "can't run ioscan" - is it hang too?

Try
ioscan -fnk

and check the results. Check syslog and roots mail box.

Sounds like a hardware problem to me, causing these commands to hang.

If you have any of the command tracing tools like trace, tusc etc., you could use them to see which call never returns.

exactly the same...
yes we do have a problem with fiber channel card and few tape drives attached to the card.
This server is a master back up server. That is why we want to avoid reboot.
