Re: how to reduce nbuff
Hi Rajeshraj,
You talking about 'nbuff' or 'nbuf' (different is with double or single 'f').
For nbuf, you can use SAM to adjust this kernel parameter :
SAM > Kernel Configuration > Kernel Parameters > Select 'nbuf' with spacebar > Goto Actions > Modify Configurable Parameter
The details of the kernel at this url below :
http://docs.hp.com/en/TKP-90202/re51.html
And since this is a static kernel parameter, you need to reboot the system so the system can take effect of the new kernel value.
Hope this one can help.
Cheers,
AW

Re: how to reduce nbuff
Use the default values of zero for nbuf and buffpages to enable dynamic growth.
http://docs.hp.com/en/939/KCParms/KCparam.Nbuf.html
What command are you using to determine that nbuf is too high? I.e., sar -b 5 5
