How to remove a corrupt Cumulative patch

How can I remove the Cumulative Patch PHSS_18892? Additionally, when executing swlist, the state of the patch [PHSS_18892] is listed as "corrupted". Following is a copy of the error that I received when trying to remove it:

Re: How to remove a corrupt Cumulative patch

Since swremove is not working (and we haven't seen the swagent.log) I would either use the swremove -i option or attempt to re-install (with the force option) the patch again.

Why do you want to remove the patch?

Re: How to remove a corrupt Cumulative patch

) remove file under /var/adm/sw/patch acting as a lock to removing the
patch PH??
ii)reinstall PH?? ensuring BOTH the flags for same revisions AND
same file are disabled under swinstall.
iii) swremove the patch again now if you wish or run swlist -l fileset -a state and check files/patch no longer corrupted.
