SolutionYou execute "runIntaller" and then select "Deinstall Products". Because Oracle is not installed via swinstall, there are no entries in the installed software database so if you like, you can simply rm -r everything under the ORACLE_HOME directory.

Run oracle installer program again. It will show you all the products already installed in the system.Select the products you want to remove and click on deinstall.

Re: How to remove ORACLE from HP-UX 11.11
Though runInstaller is adesireable, its quite possible to merely delete the oracle product manually. If the oraInventory folder is included, oracle with the exception of entries in configuration files is gone forever.
This does not remove data unless you've unwisely put data and binaries into the same folder.

Re: How to remove ORACLE from HP-UX 11.11
Question: Are you removing it in view of installing a newer version or removing it so that it will never be run again on the server?
Assuming you are referring to an Oracle database.
Step one. Stop all the oracle services (listener, em dbconsole, etc)
Step two. Launch the universal installer and Drop database
Step three
Remove all the oracle components installed. Finally delete all associated datafiles from the file system.
You may wish to retune your operating system kernel parameters accordingly.
hope this helps!

Re: How to remove ORACLE from HP-UX 11.11
I tell you in detail
I've configured a cluster successfully and I want to install oracle to make it HA
I'm so silly that I installed oracle on the shared volumn when I was on NODE B,so I think that's wrong because it will make me install it only once (So maybe I can't start it up on NODE A).
So I want to remove it and reinstall it on the local filesystem on each node
Do you think it's necessary or have you any easier way?

Re: How to remove ORACLE from HP-UX 11.11
please find attached some guidelines which will help you to proceed with your installation.
i would suggest that you clear all your installation either by going through method1 (uninstall and delete) or method 2 (delete all appropriate files)
kind regards
