If you cannot login as root, either directly or with a utility like sudo, then you can't change the password without rebooting the system.
You will likely have to reboot the system, come up in single-user mode, mount the VG00 file systems, and then change your password.
Be aware that to boot in single-user mode you will have to have access to the system console via the GSP / MP / iLO or via a serial attached console.

could you please share the procedure , how to reset the root password in single user mode
if the procedure is differ truster and non trusted system

to day i changed password with:
log in to system as single user
u fill fina in a google how to do that (i am newbie)
then when console will be ready it will come with #
then type passwd root
and then type to times new passowrd

Process to recover from a lost/forgotten root password
- Power off the server
- Power on the server
- Interupt the boot process during the 10 second interval (display will indicate this on the screen)
- bo pri
- Answer yes to interact with the ipl
- At the prompt “hpux -is” for single user mode
- cd /sbin
- passwd root and follow prompts to put in new password
- shutdown -r 0 to reboot to multiuser mode
