Hello All,
I created a vmguest, and was wondering if anyone knows best practice for preparing to recover my newly created vmguest should it become corrupted? Do you guys use Ignite?
From my vm server ( hohp244 ) I created the vmguest ( hovm230 ).
##################################
root@hohp244[/root]
# uname -a ; model
HP-UX hohp244 B.11.23 U ia64 hp server rx6600
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
root@hovm230[/root]
# uname -a ; model
HP-UX hovm230 B.11.31 U ia64 hp server Integrity Virtual Machine

Dear friend
u can use ignite tool for boot disk
command is make_tape_recovery -x inc_entire=vg00
it will u root volume group in backup media
once system is crashed u can boot the system from the backup media

U can do this way also....
# make_tape_recovery -x inc_entire=vg00 -v -a /dev/rmt/0mn ==> for vg00 to 0mn
# make_tape_recovery -x inc_entire=vg00 -v -a /dev/rmt/0mn ==> for vg00 to 0mn
