Re: How to send feedback to ITRC Forums Administrator:

Thanks Cheryl. You prompted me to send in some ideas I had. Would it be an idea to make the contact button show that this is where feedback should be entered. May encourage more people to respond.

Re: How to send feedback to ITRC Forums Administrator:

Victor, The link I provided was based upon a US login. Here's the link for a European login.

http://europe-support2.external.hp.com/usage/bin/doc.pl/sid=bfdbeeac17a39ba37d/screen=usageFeedback

You get to this site from the ITRC Forums page by selecting the link at the bottom, in the "As you participate..." section. Look for "Ask a Question form" then "Send Us Feedback."

Rita, sending feedback directly to Shayne Wagley works also.

Guy, please do send all your suggestions and comments using that feedback link or to Shayne. Everyone's suggestions are shaping this forum.

Re: How to send feedback to ITRC Forums Administrator:

Hi Everyone,

How can I go back and award points for previous threads that I posted? I am not on all the time but do
appreciate very much all the help I have got. For some
reason my stats are very low and I thinking it might
have something to do with duplicate answers. How can I
find out all the posts I have done then go back into them
and award points to all those participates who deserve
them? There are also many occasions when I receive error messages trying to log back in or I simply do not receive emails notifying me that my question has been responded to. It took me 5 tries to be able to get into this message. Any help is greatly appreciated....

Please let me know..... This is from someone who really
cares about this forum...

Thanks,

S Aldrich

Hi Everyone,

Does anyone know why I keep getting either of the following 2 errors whenever I either try and award points or reply to a message:-

Error processing SSI file '/cm/QuestionAnswerContent/1,1154,LoggedIn!0x52fea14d9abcd4118fef0090279cd0f9!0!2,00.html'

Re: How to send feedback to ITRC Forums Administrator:

Shaun:

With regard to your last two questions, above:

1. As for point assignment philosophy, see the very long discussion "WARNING: lack of point allocations is jepordising replies" that occured earlier this month:

http://my1.itrc.hp.com/cm/QuestionAnswer/1,1150,0x94f05f260cafd4118fef0090279cd0f9!1,00.html

I will not endeavor to comment any further on that thread, other than to pass along to you and all other readers who do not know, that you can choose to assign "N/A" to a response received to one of your posts (e.g. for duplicate responses by the same person, or for whatever reason YOU see fit). If you assign the "N/A" this will count as a response that was scored. Thus, a question that received two duplicate posts, could have one post assigned points and the other, duplicate marked "N/A". As the author, your profile would show "2 of 2". I point this out as a fact of behavior only.

2. With regard to the Forum problems you note, I too have seen the very same. I have sumbitted a trouble report earlier today to the ITRC. Click on the "contact hp" button on the left and choose "send us feedback" / "forums". This goes directly to the ITRC and is their stated, preferred contact mechanism. I know from constant use that they do read what comes in there and wiil very often acknowledge the receipt of your message.

...but then you already know that ;-)

Regards, Jim.

Re: How to send feedback to ITRC Forums Administrator:

Shaun-

Wanted to give you an update on a couple limited ways to find your original questions. However, bottom line is we don't give you a very easy way today to find all the questions you've asked.

1.) If you've opted in for email notification when there are replies to your questions, then you should be able to locate them this way:
If you click on My Profile (on the left sidebar), and then click on "view or modify forums profile". If you scroll down to the bottom of that page ("notify me about these messages" section), you will see all all the messages that you're tracking, which includes those that you started and are tracking through email notification when you get a response.
Unfortunately, you will not be able to differentiate between the threads you're following as an interested observers (through the "notify me" functionality now in the forums) and the ones you've actually started.

2.) Another option is to go to the "myforums" section of myitrc http://my.itrc.hp.com - In there, you'll see the status of your 3 most recent questions under the "recent replies" sub-heading. But we didn't allow you from that view to see all questions you've asked... our bad :-(

As I said above, we certainly realize that today there's no easy way (and in fact is quite difficult) for question authors to get back to all their initial questions. We'll be working on that in the future as we look to improve the personalization & customization of the forums experience. Your feedback has helped validate our ened to make that easier for you and others out there.

Also, we're aware of the SSI error and working on eliminating that bug. Thanks for your patience and to all that used the feedback form to send email to Shayne about the issues that you've encountered.

Hope all had a good Thanksgiving (for those in the US), and thanks again for your continued use of the Forums and the ITRC.

Best regards-
Jeff

Re: How to send feedback to ITRC Forums Administrator:

Shaun,

You can also use the Search tab at the left.
Enter you name as the keyword and select Forum Community.

This should bring up messages that you posted as well as responses.
