how to set the system console at boot time
I have a B180L HP Workstation under HPUX 10.2.
I have a graphic display.
I try to change the system console to an ascii terminal connected on serial 1, by using ISL and conspath 8/0/63 (result from ioscan for tty). Now I have no console. How can I get my ascii console ?
Thanks.

Re: how to set the system console at boot time
Try the following:
stop booting and from the main menu:
pa con
I tried this on series 800 not series 700,
but think should work, because this depands on the firmware.

Re: how to set the system console at boot time
I do not know the way how to change console path in software way, where the system is normally running.
But I remember, just a weak idea, that in old models of series 700 there was a hardware switch to change console path, and remember that it was one way trick.
Hope it helps a little.

Re: how to set the system console at boot time
with its attached keyboard and power up.
This should set the boot console to the terminal.
