You can not do much for a indisual disk. But you can plan your VG's in stripping so that maximum no. of disks are used for any transfer resulting in maximum throughput.

% utilization
queue
amount of physical I/O
Buffer Cache hit ratio - you want > 90%
sar -d 5 5
If avwait > avserv - then you have an issue
How to tune?
add more disks to offload busy ones
add more controller cards - to split load
add faster disks (15K rpm)
Disk striping
mirroring

i have also EVA5000 and once upon a time
i have also needed and discussded it with
HP...
There is no monitor tool for to EVA disks
Because they are build with high techology
and never needs such a kind of monitoraziton
so just trust your EVA env!!!

and also you may use Glance but it is a license product from Hp
