How to verify Informix Online Level 0 Archive ?

How can I verify Informix Archive ? To backup data I use ontape.

Hi,
Using ontape I am afraid there is anything you can verify.But it returns error while backing up.
With onbar you can verify.

correct; use onbar in conjunction with Informix ISM or any XBSA compatible storage manager.

It can give you a little confidence that something was written to the tape if you dd the tape header:
dd if=/dev/rmt/1m count=1

yields:
????????
cArchive Backup TapeInformix Dynamic Server 2000 Version 9.21.FC5 Wed Mar 13 21:00:04 2002root?/dev/rmt/SYMTAP??-
1+0 records in
1+0 records out

So at least I know it wrote something, together with the date that it wrote it.
Since the database is constantly changing it would be very hard to verify the complete archive.
