Re: how would you turn off xdmcp?

Possibly .... depends on your setup ?

read man Xserver and edit your XDMCP hosts Xaccess
file or Xservers file accordingly .

see man Xserver : -direct or -query options etc ? Or switch off hosts in the Xaccess file.

Re: how would you turn off xdmcp?

Hi,

turn of ?!? A possible solution to control is to copy the /usr/dt/config/Xaccess to /etc/dt/config/Xaccess. (don't change the files in the /usr dir)
Edit the file and put hostnames or IP-numbers in it. Al these systems are allowed to connect.
When you put !hostname in the file, the system is denied.

To rearead the file use:
/usr/dt/bin/dtconfig -reset
