HP 8000N configured for Jet Admin on HP-UX 11.00
Jet Admin works on HP-UX 11.00. I want to understand the full flow from the time that you print to the time that the print comes out of the printer and where all the files that are used are stored on a the Unix machine. Also where to get a full list of interfaces available for HP-UX 11.00.
Many thanks if you can help.

Re: HP 8000N configured for Jet Admin on HP-UX 11.00
not know where to get interface files for printers that are not listed by default in etc/lp/interfaces. The other problem is that the HP8000N printer does not respond to the -ofp options for font pitch. When you send a print specifying the -ofp option to change font pitch nothing changes on the printer, the print just comes out with the same size font as before.

Re: HP 8000N configured for Jet Admin on HP-UX 11.00
/etc/lp/interface/model.orig and
/opt/hpnpl/sh
I have changed the font permanently of one printer by the interface file stored in /etc/lp/interface/model.orig .
If you need to create an option during creation of the printer you should look at the directory /opt/hpnpl/sh.
