Hi,

Enterprise Cluster Master toolkit B.02.21 does support the deployment of HP Apache alongwith MCSG on HPUX11iV2.

Refer the following link for detail.

Absolutely possible.

High availability websites is one of the more popular uses for MCSG.

Just have to modify the httpd.conf file and related files to have content stored on shared storage so the site stays up when failover occurs.

Also apache auto start in /etc/rc.config.d/ must be set to 0 as in not start, because you need to let your SG control scripts start it.

Yes
Use the ENterprise Cluster Master Toolkit to do this

I can even tell you how to set it up to do a rolling upgrade/regression.

Re: HP Apache on MCSG on hpux 11i

Sure:

1) install apache on all servers as normal
2) decide on whether to have a seperate non-failover filesystem for HTDOCS or just to implement links
3) create your package with a bare minimum of LVM resources (or none), and just implement the start scripts

When the package fails over, it will execute the httpd startup based on server-specific HTML files, not MCSG failover files, and in this way you can have a quick auto start/stop functionality but without all the hassle of shared disks. You can then do a quick cmhaltpkg on node1 and a runpkg on node2 to test a new website. If it sucks, simply fail back. No need for file copies, restores, relinking, nothing.
