HP K260 down

Now, I can't login to HP K260. The box shows below,

-------
CPU F01F
CPU0
-------

What's going on?

Re: HP K260 down

it looks like CPU0 is having some problem or it might be failed.

if u have a hardware support better call HP.

Re: HP K260 down

According to the list:

http://www.openpa.net/doc/k-class-leds.html

this is a normal run condition.

Have you tried a console login?
Does anyone have an open window?
If so, try to see whether the system is refusing to fork new processes, etc.

Re: HP K260 down

This box suddenly crashed. I can't login via console mode. The LCP pannel message is

-------
CPU F01F
CPU0
-------

Does there any document mention the LCP message guide?

Thanks

Re: HP K260 down

hi Eric,

please find the codes for K class.

http://forums1.itrc.hp.com/service/forums/getattachment.do?attachmentId=14103&ext=.html

and some more basic information on codes.

1xxx CPU and logic boards
2xxx Cache
3xxx Processor dependent hardware
4xxx Floating Point coprocessor
5xxx Bus
6xxx Stable store, rom and eprom
7xxx RAM cards
8xxx I/O devices
9xxx Console
Axxx Boot device
Bxxx Kernel panic
Cxxx System initialization
CB00 Transfer of control by firmware
CEC0 HPUX boot loaded and initializing
CED0 HPUX boot start
CEDE HPUX boot returning to ISL
CEDF HPUX boot launching kernel
CEE0 Kernel loaded and initializing
CEF0 Kernel entered
CEF2 Kernel i/o configuration
CEF4 Kernel mounting root filesystem
CEF6 Kernel starting page-out daemon
CEF8 Kernel starting init daemon
D000 Shutdown begun
D004 Core dump in progress
D400 Shutdown in progress, waiting for buffers to be flushed
DA00 Shutdown completed, disks synchronized

When the system is up and running the display shows the system status as FXFF,
where an F in the first and last position indicate the system is running
normally. The second digit is updated every 5 seconds with the length of
the run queue. This is the reading at the time of the update, not an average.
Loads highter than 9 display as the letter A. The third digit is the number
of cpu's online.

For example:

RUN F 0 1 F
\ \ \ \ \_ always F when running normally
\ \ \ \___ Number of processors installed
\ \ \_____ Run queue (# of processes reaady to run)
\ \ (it ranges from '0' to 'A')
\ \______ always F when running HP-UX
\__________ system status ('RUN', 'TEST', 'FAIL',...)

Re: HP K260 down

Eric,
can you reboot the machine, clear the GSP messages and look for any warning/error messages at boot time on the console.

Ensure all cables are properly attached and the LEDs on the machine are all green.

This should give us a stable machine with console access.

Re: HP K260 down

The K class systems do not have a GSP or Service Processor.
Are you able to login via the network? or ping the system?

If the system responds to a ping, but you cannot login, it would appear that the system may be hung.
If this is the case, you need to get the system to do a TOC dump, and have it analysed by the HP Response Centre.

Your display is basically telling you that HP-UX is loaded and running, with no job queue load, and one processor (the 01 Portion of the F01F)
and that the installed cpu's are CPU 0
