Re: HP Manfact problem

Error numbers returned from print jobs refer to the tasks within the script, that is, some command exited with a non-zero error code. errno 2 typically means: no such file or directory. However, this information will not solve the problem and it could take a long time to figure out the problem.

When a printer script exits with a non-zero value, the print queue is immediately disabled. However, the enable and disable commands can typically be run by anyone so the printer may be up and running again.

Troubleshooting the problem requires knowledge of the connection: is it directly connected by serial or parallel port, or remote on another computer or LAN-based printer, or HP's JetDirect LAN adapter. The troubleshooting steps will depend on the connection.
