HP Unix 11
We have defined print queues in Unix, but print jobs occasionally stays in the print queue without spitting out of the printer. The printer is defined as a network printer. Greatly appreciate it if any one could help. Attached is the screen dump of the print queue. Thanks.

Re: HP Unix 11
Greatly appreciate it if you could let me know why does the print job get stuck in the print queue and why does it happen intermittently. Thanks.

Re: HP Unix 11
I have seen this on my work machines - it seems to depend on which window the file is printed from - there seems to be a main window that disables the printer - i haven't needed to reboot the machines, just delete the print que, log in as root, go into sam, and reenable the printer. i had thought this was a problem with the other software (philips media pool) that we are running, but it now looks like a ux11 bug
next time it happens see if you can find out from where the offending print came from and see if there is another way to print the file without problem - i will check my work notes and see if i can find more info for you. the problem is very easy to repeat for me, so i will update.
good luck
