HP-UX 11.11 - large increase in system memory usage
Recently moved an application to an N4000 with 4GB memory running HP-UX 11.11 and have found that system memory grows from around 400MB at boot time to over 900MB. Buffer cache is limited to 10% (dbc_max_pct). Example of glance output -

When system boots, Sys Mem is around 400mb.
Any ideas on why Sys Mem grows so much?
(on the old server - K260 with 2GB memory, Sys Mem was always around 170mb)

Re: HP-UX 11.11 - large increase in system memory usage
My last response would not go thru.. try again.
Try:
UNIX95= ps -e -o ruser,vsz,pid,ppid,args|sort -rnk2|more
This gives the total mem usage/process
MND
