Re: Unusual message from cmcld
One would assume this did work before, so what changes have been made?
which version of SG? is it patched?
what does a cmscancl show you?

Re: Unusual message from cmcld
If you issue a "netstat -an | grep 5304", are you seeing any output?

Re: Unusual message from cmcld
Was this a working MC/ServiceGuard configuration?
Is the IP address in the error message in the same subnet as your lan card? What is the output of netstat -ni? And finally what is the output of cmviewcl?
So basically, need more information to diagnose this.

Re: Unusual message from cmcld
this isn't the ip address of any LAN card in the cluster - this is a web site. And this is my major problem. The cluster was running until one of the node fails. And I can't bring it up now.

Re: Unusual message from cmcld
Are you running ServiceGuard on this machine? If so, could you send the output of netstat -ni...we'll start with that.

Re: Unusual message from cmcld
What is the output of cmviewcl and cmgetconf...do they make mention of this IP address, i.e. 212.15.54.41?

Re: Unusual message from cmcld
Our DNS specialist found out what the problem was.In the machine's DNS there is not an entry for localhost.
And the other name of this site (212.....) is localhost
