HP-UX 11.11 or 11.20 for Oracle 9i?

Hi,
We want to upgrade from ORACLE 8i to 9i, but currently are on HP-UX 11.00. Oracle 9i requires HP-UX 11.11. What are your recommendations as to which UX version to go to, 11.11 or 11.20?

Hi Eewy:

HP-UX 11.20 is for the Itanium series only.
11.20 (otherwise known as "11i version 1.5") will not run on a PA-RISC server.

which server? 11.20 will work with Itanium processors only. You may have to load the 11.11 on your server if it's a PA-RISC server.

You can install Oracle 9i on HPUX 11.0 (64bit) also.

We just upgraded (cold install) 100+ (REMOTE) K-class servers from 10.20 to 11i (11.11) in a little over three weeks. Each having oracle, informix, some other applications, and our own applications.

Go to 11i, don't even screw with 11.00 - it's a waste of your time !!!!
