Hi, Does anyone here know the basic system requirements and default file system sizes for HP-UX 11.20?

HP-UX 11.20 (aka HP-UX 11i Version 1.5) is for Itanium systems ONLY and is ONLY a 64-bit OS.

If you click on the plus + sign next to "Introduction and Related Info." and then click on "System Configurations" you will see the systems that support this version of the OS.

Hi Mark,

Can't find any info on FS defaults, but I can tell you the minimum root disk size is 4 Gb & the initial release of 11.20 does NOT support upgrades (cold only) nor Ignite loads. Ignite will be available soon.

==>Basic system requirement ..
1) Same as what's for 11.11 (11i).
2) 64bit
3) Memory requirement, depends on what you're running, but if just OS, you would need 0.5 GB of memory to run comfortably.

==>File system sizes
1) During install, you would have to "carve" up your FS anyway (eg: allocate more for /var, etc, etc) so not an issue here as long as you got 4GB or more as your root disk I would say.
