SolutionHP offers VPARs or Virtual Partitions, which allows you to divide a recent model server into separate partitions, allowing one machine to server multiple purposes.

Is that anything like you had in mind?

Re: HP-UX 11i Virtual Test Environment
For HP-UX11i v 1.6/2.0 for Itanium/Integrity systems.. no vPar support yet I believe.
Take note that vPars implementation on HP-UX 11i as it is now needs to have DEDICATED bootdisks, storage and networking and granulrity is at the CPU level. So you can not virtually partition a single CPU system.

Re: HP-UX 11i Virtual Test Environment
Its not available yet for 11i v2 and it only works on certain HP-9000 servers right now under 11i v1
You need to state your server model to know if vpars will work for you.

Re: HP-UX 11i Virtual Test Environment
But as it is.. HP-UX still is and remains a very stable and rock solid operating environment.
