Hi

Do not know 1mage software so difficult to help.

For an alternative I use ImageMagick which is free and upto now works well.

see

http://www.imagemagick.org/

ImageMagickTM is a robust collection of tools and libraries to read, write, and manipulate an image in many image formats (over 68 major formats) including popular formats like TIFF, JPEG, PNG, PDF, PhotoCD, and GIF. With ImageMagick you can create images dynamically, making it suitable for Web applications. You can also resize, rotate, sharpen, color reduce, or add special effects to an image and save your completed work in the same or differing image format. Image processing operations are available from the command line, as well as through C, C++, Perl, or Java progamming interfaces.

Hi Basheer,

6 years ago I was the admin for an AIX server running 1mage. The biggest problem I had with 1mage was they were writing the product as we went. Basically we had purchased and implemented a system without all the pieces (primarily optical and tape retrieval).

That 1 system (tape library, optical jukebox, scanners, and particularly 1mage) was more than a full-time job. Lots of system hangs, lost images, and phone calls to support vendors. I'd definitely look for another product.
