I have HP-UX Apache-based Web Server (A.1.0.00.01) installed on R Class using HPUX 11.00
It is being used as an internal web server for internal application (no connection to the outside world)
For some reason every 10 days or so suddenly one of the apache processes
consume 100% of the CPU for no practically reason there is noting in the
log files(apache log file) that will indicate whatâ s wrong.
Once I restart apache the problem disappears and after 10 day it will reoccur.
Anyone has an idea whatâ s wrong or where do I begin to look
Thanks,
A.K.

Solution
1) Patch to a later release if possible.
2) ipcs -ma see if there is enough shared memory
3) If not enough shared memroy in 2, consider increasing shmmax and shmseg
consider increasing maxusers which will up nproc nfile etc.
Possibly run my data collector script while its happening to see if there is trouble. See attachment.
