Hi All ,

Can any one tell that ,

1. How many total question comes in HP0-002 exam?
2. What is the passing score.?
3. How many question from Networking side.?
4. What book & server to use?

When I took this test's predecessor (3H0-002)
There were 80 questions:
20 - Fundamentals of UNIX
30 - HP-UX System Administration
30 - HP-UX Network Administration

You dont have to refer a specific server because there is no hardware specific questions.

Networking section is probably the toughest one especially the subnetting section. HP Certified by Rafeeq Ur Rehman is a very good reference.

I remember there being 80 questions. I actually wrote that but I checked a practice test in the book I recommended and saw 64. Maybe someone who took it more recently can clarify.

But their is bit confusion whether HP0-002 is consist 70 or 80 question. Any one passed recently can answer the exact figure.

If you use this book to prepare for the exam, you shouldn't have any trouble passing the exam. It includes plenty of questions at the end of each chapter, and a practice exam at the end.

I passed CSA HP0-002 test in MARCH 2004.
1)As john wrote, test comprises of 80 questions.
20 - Fundamentals of UNIX
30 - HP-UX System Administration
30 - HP-UX Network Administration
2)Passing score is 70%.
3)Books--Any good Unix book (Sumithaba das)for fundamentals, HP's training material for
SNA1 and SNA2 is good and sufficient for test. HP certified by Rafeeq ur Rehman will also help you.

By Rafeeq UR Rehman
Use any RP series HP server with HPUX 11.x
Read about GSP / PDC more. Have hands on test questions also.

Hi Raj,

Well, I didn't actually pay for the course... my company did! But I heard from the other guys who had attended the training that the CSA 1 course cost around Rs 22500. There is another course titled, CSA 2, which costs approximately the same amount. You might want to attend the CSA 2 course as well.

Regarding the schedule of the course, you can speak to either of two HP Training Division guys (if you are in Bangalore):

They normally schedule a course depending on the demand. I was told that they need atleast 4-5 students to start a batch. But you can speak to either of them and they will let you know exactly when/where the next session is going to be held.

Hi Raj,

If you attend the CSA 1 course, then you'd get to take home two books (they are called student workbooks). While these books are very good, I feel that the most valuable thing in this course is the time/chance you get to work on HP-UX systems. Make sure you make maximum use of the time (5 days) you get to learn HP-UX (by working on the HP-UX systems and interacting with the tutors.)
