HP-UX dtfile manager spaws many NFS threads

Hello,

We have about 200 HP-UX 11.0 clients. We have installed a product called HSM from Tivoli for space management on the server which is serving home directories.

What we found is that when ever a user launches dtfile manager on the client, his window waits to recall the files from tape. This causes dtfile mamager to spawn multiple NFS threads and uses up all available, causing NFS to hang.

Did anyone see such a situation before ?? or can anyone come up with a good fix to limit dtfile to stop spawning NFS threads, while it is waiting for the files to be recalled.
