HP-UX Os on intel platform ...

Is there a possibility to simlulate an HP-UX OS on an Intel Platform (ie.: Personal Computer) ?

See what SUN started! They release their os on Intel & AMD (Solaris x86) and we get bombarded with queries about HP-ux on Intel + AMD.

And I have Solaris 10 x86 running on an AMD opteron box. Not too bad. Lacks some features of regular Solaris, but that was expected.

intel platform? i guess you can get an itanium workstation from HP that runs HPUX. there is no x86-family version though.

Harry - I think you give Sun too much credit. Questions about being able to run HP-UX on x86 hardware go back to long before Solaris x86.

The Compaq-HP merger reportedly sprung from talks on porting HP-UX to Intel.

That and many other things never happened.

Perhaps that explains todays news.

Answer: Intel Itanium 64 bit, HP hardware only.
