Re: HP-UX software
The above URL is the main HP-UX page on HP's site. There are links there to buy HP-UX.
You MIGHT also be able to find something on E-bay.
Do you have an HP 9000 machine at home? If not, you won't be able to use HP-UX.

Re: HP-UX software
Some people are throwing away E-Class & D-Class machines
If you are prepared to collect
I may just be able to point you at one
They tend to have a 4Gb disc with 10.01 - 10.20 loaded
OK for playing/learning
[& plenty more powerful than the stuff that got Neil & Co to the Moon & back]

Re: HP-UX software
Then for around $300 you can purchase the CD's you need for running HP-UX.
HP-UX is an Enterprise oriented OS, its not free like Linux, even for home use.
If you pick up a CD set on EBay, it will probably work for home use, but see if you can get a right to use license at the same time.
Obviously there is no mechanism for HP to enforce its rights, but its always better to be legal. Plus if you get good at this stuff or want your server on the Public Internet its a really good idea to go legal.
