Re: HP-UX storage migration
In the simplest setup you want to have old and new storage visible on the server at the same time. One method is to use LVM mirroring to mirror the old storage to the new and then drop the old storage mirror. Another method is to use LVM pvmove to move the extends of a logical volume from old storage PVs to new storage PVs. Your LV structure stays the same. The PV could stay the same or could be different. You can do both methods with VxVm as well.

SolutionWhat kind of answer do you expect for these questions?
"Please thorw some light on HP-UX storage migration"
http://forums11.itrc.hp.com/service/forums/questionanswer.do?threadId=1256389
"Please throw light on Host-Based Migration"
"Can any one help me with host based migration procedure.
A document or a step by step procedure should do."
http://forums11.itrc.hp.com/service/forums/questionanswer.do?threadId=1256355
...
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.
