Re: HP-UX version
Also check, "uname -a". It will list many more details.

Re: HP-UX version
- What CPU do I have?
- How much memory do I have?
- Can I do 64 bit?
- How fast is my CPU?
- How many CPU's do I have?
Read the FAQ on my site. The first paragraph refers to a little script called 'ux' that answers most of these questions in a single line summary:
a5:/u/usr/merijn 101 # ux
a5 HP-UX 11.00/64 U 9000/800/A500-7X/64 PA8700/750(2) pa-2.0 2048 Mb
a5:/u/usr/merijn 102 #
My HP ITRC site pages can be found at (please use LA as primary choice):
USA Los Angeles http://mirrors.develooper.com/hpux/#FAQ
SGP Singapore https://www.beepz.com/personal/merijn/#FAQ
USA Chicago http://ww.hpux.ws/merijn/#FAQ
NL Hoofddorp http://www.cmve.net/~merijn/#FAQ
Enjoy, have FUN! H.Merijn

Re: HP-UX version
HP-UX 11 = 11.0 pa-risc
HP-UX 11i v1 = 11.11 pa-risc
HP-UX 11i v1.5= 11.20 Itanium only
HP-UX 11i v1.6= 11.22 Itanium only
HP-UX 11i v2 = 11.23 Itanium only now, pa-risc targeted for fall 2004 (unsure of real number)

Re: HP-UX version
Actually...what I heard was 11i v3 will be the *first* Itanium/PA-RISC version - i.e. same OS - both architectures.
The only thing I can think happening is that they have delays which force them to come out with solo interim versions.
Later,
Jeff

Re: HP-UX version
11i v2 is supposed to be out for "HP 9000
servers" (which presumably means "PA-RISC
servers") in late 2004, while 11i v3 is
scheduled for very late 2005.
