HP-UX11i V1 PA-RISC and Arcserv BrightStor 11.5 Backup

Hi,

Backup Client: rp7420 w/EVA 4000; HP-UX
Backup Server: Dell 2950; Win2K3
It seems that incremental backups are almost as large as full backups on our system; even the day after the full was done. I did some reading (BrigtStor Admin Docs - Windows BrightStor Server), and was wondering how does one go about displaying the archive bit on a Unix FS and whether or not it is set? Cannot find any HP docs on this subject.

You don't. There is no such thing as an "archive" bit on HP-UX.

When doing an incremental, or differential, backup the backup software has to analyze all the files and determine whether or not they have changed.
