HP11.11: Problem loosing NIS configuration after rebooting
We are having a problem with one of our HP11.11 servers. Every time we reboot the machine the NIS configuration (Domain name is lost). I do not why. We can set it (SAM->Network Configuration->NIS-> Set Domain Name and then enable NIS client. If after that we reboot the machine, NIS configuration is lost. If I go again to SAM->Network Configuration->NIS it will tel me that Domain Name is not set.
Any ideas ??
Thanks,
Juan

Re: HP11.11: Problem loosing NIS configuration after rebooting
This can be by a start/shutdown script. It could be anything.
I'd check permissions on the file and rc.log for a delete statement.

Re: HP11.11: Problem loosing NIS configuration after rebooting
Also, don't forget to set your NIS domain name in /etc/rc.config.d/namesvrs. Be sure you have
NISDOMAIN=
