Can someone give me some links where I can find in-depth informations about the differences between HP11 & HP11i? And why rp7410 cannot be installed with HP11?

Re: HP11 vs. HP11i
Hi,
You can find detailed information about 11i in the following URL
http://www.hp.com/products1/unix/operating/index.html
The key differences are expanded dynamic kernel tuning, integrated additional softwares like ipv6, apache, ipfilter, base vxvm etc., based on the OE you bought and extensions to support hard partitions which is lacking in 11.0.
RP7410 is not supported with 11.0 due to it's inability to work with partition architecture.

Re: HP11 vs. HP11i
As a starting point you should of course have a look at the release notes:
http://docs.hp.com/hpux/pdf/5187-1841.pdf
Sooner or later older OS revisions get excluded from new hardware enablements. However, there are not really many good reasons not to prefer 11.11.
Best regards...
Dietmar.

Re: HP11 vs. HP11i
RP7410 architecture is built on cell architecture and hard partitions of the system can be done .. this architecture is not supported by 11.00 and HP-UX 11i is the solutioin for it.
Hope this helps,
