HPJmeter and Oracle 9iAS r9022

I am trying to setup HPJmeter to use on 9iAS for Forms9i. We are using 4 JVMs. I try to get 1 output file for each JVM by passing in the log filename with $$. This was suppose to give me unique filenames with pid embedded, but it does not work. It only produce 1 file (hpjm.$$.log).
Does anyone know how to make this work?

I might not be understanding this correctly because there are lots of acronyms in there that I've never heard of but for what its worth....

$$ is the process id of your current shell so if you are passing this as an argument to four processes they are all going to get the same number. You could try something else like hpjm.$RANDOM.log
Never preceed any demonstration with anything more predictive than "watch this"

Re: HPJmeter and Oracle 9iAS r9022

$$ (or $anything) only has meaning in the context of a unix environment.
JVMs running within Oracle 9iAS are platform independent.
More often than not, they run under windoze, but even if running on unix, they won't understand $$.
Having said that, I have no idea what you need to do, but there must be calls from within java to generate random numbers...(
