/usr/sbin/diag/lif/updatediaglif2 is used for online diagnostic tests.
if you do a lifls -lC you would see various partitions apart from AUTO,HPUX,ISL etc
so only above are needed to mirror a disk (provided you have licence to mirror ;)

mirroing and ODE are 2 different thing.
Its not gonna affect your mirroning.
