HPUX 11.x & Samba 2.2.7

Hi,

Trying to get access from Windows client to HPUX server, I get the following error message.
There are approximately 40 clients.

Unable to open new log file /var/opt/samba/log.st18: File table overflow

read_data: read failure for 4. Error = Connection reset by peer

Hi,

The posted log entries are over a year old. Assuming they are just samples and you are currently receiving the same errors, you would need to increase the following kernel parameters :

nfile (File table overflow)
nflocks (No locks available)

The log entries indicate that on 2004.03.04 the /var filesystem probably ran out of space or had other permission problems.
