hpux 11i v2

Hello,
One of our people mentioned that HPUX 11i v1 means that HPUX 11i for Itanium , HPUX 11i V2 means that HPUX 11i for PA RISC . Is that true.

11i v2 is 11.23 and can run on either Itanium (ia64) hardware or on PA-RISC

No, that is not true.

HP-UX 11iv1 = HP-UX 11.11 which is a PA-RISC ONLY version.

HP-UX 11iv2 = HP-UX 11.23 which can run on EITHER PA-RISC or Itanium machines.

Note that 11i v3 is being released this year and is just like 11i v2.

IT works with both PA-RISC and Itanium.

Rumor is its the last PA-RISC release.
