HPUX 9.X network

Hello,

I have a very old workstation with HPUX 9.X that I need to change IP address, DNS ...

I know there is a file in 9.X that is similiar to the "netconf" file in 11.X but I can not recall what it is. Can you help?

Thanks

John

I do not recall either - have you tried SAM? I do know that there was basic functionality in SAM in 9.0, but I do not remember if it included networking

Re: HPUX 9.X network

John, I might not give you the answer that you are searching but I hope it helps.

run sam to check the NIC configuration, and in other window tail the following file
/var/sam/log/samlog you will see all the commands and files that sam uses.

hope it helps

Re: HPUX 9.X network

Thank you guys.

I used SAM to enabled the lan card and changed the IP address. It is OK now.

Yes the netlinkrc file is what I am looking for.

Thanks again.
