Re: hpux & lotus notes

This is a particular requirement to port LotusNotes on HPUX. Currently uses LotusNote on different platform, I need to switch it to HPUX.

Is there any case studies that has successfully configured.

Re: hpux & lotus notes

hi,

read this link:

http://www.lotus.com/products/product4.nsf/wdocs/65sysrequirements

it seems 6.5.x and also 6.0.x is not supported on platforms other than microsoft windows or macintosh.

Re: hpux & lotus notes

Lotus 4.x (3.x?) supported several Unix
machines, but that was a long time ago.
If you really must use Notes on HP-UX
probably your best bet is to use Citrix
or something similar. These will allow
you to access Windows applications from
your HP-UX machine.

Oops, I meant Windows Terminal Server.
That's what we use to access Notes
from Unix.

Re: hpux & lotus notes

If you want to move away from Windows
try using Linux (on a x86 platform) and Wine.
It ran nearly perfect with Notes 5.0.
And this was 2 years ago.
You're chances are quite good.

Hi,

In addition to Citrix for Unix, you could use rdesktop an open-source client for WinNT/2000/2003 Terminal Services. I'm running it on HP-UX 11i and Linux.

See: www.rdesktop.org
