Yesterday I was thinking about hpux and aix virtulization concepts...
Which one is better... What if I come accross an AIX Admin and If there happens to be an Argument about hpux and aix virtulization concepts... how do I say the HP is the best one...
AIX has micro partitions(wpars) and HP does not have..
VM's are easier to manage in AIX than HP-UX...
????? confused

Re: hpux and aix virtulization concepts
how easy is it to manage it in HP-UX, here every user has his habits, and personally I don't find it difficult on hpux. - I don't know AIX one-
About application WPAR, I don't know it.
HPUX has other ways to make workload balance and management.
In fact the best is to identify your needs and then ask how this can be made on HPUX
Now may be you can contact your sales representative who will probably be happy to present you why you must take HPUX with integrity VM :D

Re: hpux and aix virtulization concepts
creating a virtual machine
4 comands
managing a virtual machine
GUI in SMH or GUI on SIM or easy command line.
Can see the VM in glance and measureware can collect data on virtual machines out of the box.
Pretty simple

Well, that would depend on the audience you ask :-)
In my opinion, "better" is largely subjective. The fairest assessments of "better" are given by those who have experience in both camps (and I don't). Your mileage may vary.
