hi,

i would like to install hpux11.00 on my visualize j5600 and i got a few problems

with core CD or install CD : boot error ANTRY-INIT failed, status=-4
?

i tried to make a copy of these CD : it's the same

i tried to install a debian hppa with netinst
-> boot ok :
after problem with read-edid and X11

So, with debian CD i can boot but install failed after ...
with official HPUX 11.00 CD nothing: failed to initialize

what can i do

I need an OS :)

you need a specific version of 11.0 OS,

http://www.hp.com/workstations/risc/standard/operating/support_matrix/update.html

Check the matrix. you need "64-bit HP-UX 11.00 ACE9911"

just an other question

on my hpux 11 CD i can see these informations :
hpux 11.0 install/update/recovery
hp 9000 entreprise servers, hp visualize workstations september 2002

my hp workstation is a visualize j5600 !

so what's wrong

?

and last time i did an install with the same CD hpux 11 on hp visualize j6700 and it works

i don't see hp j6700 in your matrix so ... i don't know whether it's an update HPUX CD problem ... ?
