hyperfabric and /etc/hosts ...

Hi all,

someone tells me that it's not recommended
to set the IP address dedicated to Hyperfabric adapter into the /etc/host files.
But when i read admin and user guide, i will not find any recommendation ?

Does someone got the response ?

Thanks in advance!

Re: hyperfabric and /etc/hosts ...

Hi Vincent,

I think it depends on whether you're using static IPs or MC/SG to relocate IPs to backup HF NICs. For the former I see no reason why you couldn't put them in the hosts file. But using MC/SG, I'd probably only use the virtual IPs/names in the hosts file so I'd find the proper pkg location every time.

Jeff
