nobody will be criticized for starting his own congrats thread, also it's uncommon.
And Jeff is not the first.

But (a little 'but') there's a decision to start only a congrats thread for a wizard's hat or more. So you're right - Jeff's cap wasn't *noticed*.

Because this is a technical forum, there shouldn't be too much personal threads.
And we would get many daily threads for every Pro or Grad.
