I still can't find the right pax patch for make_tape_recovery on HP-UX 11.00.
I tried recommended PHCO_25418
and also the newest one PHCO_30150, but neither works correctly - testing pax for needed patch before make_tape_recovery still end with error
I will appreciate any hint
br Jan

Re: make_tape_recovery, pax and patch
everything is ok now, I must have installed the all dependecies.(I am new in HP-UX so I supposed if the Install analysis went through ok, no others dependencies are needed)
So, is the rule that if the dependecies exist they must be all installed even if the install analysis is ok?
(I think, in Linux the install analysis take care about dependecies)

Re: make_tape_recovery, pax and patch
The patch did not install due to dependencies the first time you tried. The swinstall session merely terminated without error.
A good way to get dependencies is to build your patches from the itrc patch database.
This lets you search and pick and dependencies will automatically show up on the screen.

ok, but "swlist -l product | grep PHCO_25418"
displayed that patch was installed, is there any explanation for it ?
thanks Jan
