Re: I have a question
I guess to take this to it's extreme and given HP are already starting to look at showing stats. If a person gets a very low percentage of answers against points awarded then they shouldn't be allowed to post any more questions until they rate some of the previous answers, say perhaps 50%. I from the response from Dan that duplicates may be a problem. I leave this to you Shayne to poll opinion on this and attempt to implement if you think it's viable.

Re: I have a question
Hi Everyone,
How can I go back and award points for previous threads that I posted? I am not on all the time but do appreciate very much all the help I have got. For some reason my stats are very low and I thinking it might have something to do with duplicate answers. How can I find out all the posts I have done then go back into them and award points to all those participates who deserve them?
Please let me know..... This is from someone who really cares about this forum...
Thanks,
S Aldrich

Re: I have a question
Hi Everyone,
Does anyone know why I keep getting either of the following 2 errors whenever I either try and award
points or reply to a message:-
Error processing SSI file '/cm/QuestionAnswerContent/1,1154,LoggedIn!0x52fea14d9abcd4118fef0090279cd0f9!0!2,00.html'
404 Object Not Found
Thanks,
S Aldrich

Re: I have a question
Shaun:
With regard to your last two questions, above:
1. As for point assignment philosophy, see the very long discussion "WARNING: lack of point allocations is jepordising replies" that occured earlier this month:
http://my1.itrc.hp.com/cm/QuestionAnswer/1,1150,0x94f05f260cafd4118fef0090279cd0f9!1,00.html
I will not endeavor to comment any further on that thread, other than to pass along to you and all other readers who do not know, that you can choose to assign "N/A" to a response received to one of your posts (e.g. for duplicate responses by the same person, or for whatever reason YOU see fit). If you assign the "N/A" this will count as a response that was scored. Thus, a question that received two duplicate posts, could have one post assigned points and the other, duplicate marked "N/A". As the author, your profile would show "2 of 2". I point this out as a fact of behavior only.
2. With regard to the Forum problems you note, I too have seen the very same. I have sumbitted a trouble report earlier today to the ITRC. Click on the "contact hp" button on the left and choose "send us feedback" / "forums". This goes directly to the ITRC and is their stated, preferred contact mechanism. I know from constant use that they do read what comes in there and wiil very often acknowledge the receipt of your message.
Regards, Jim.
