Re: I just reboot server, but Xwindows doesn't work
"hostname", "nslookup $(hostname)" work ok?
Do you receive CDE prompt (where you type your user/passwd) at all?
What it says at the end of /etc/rc.log ( tail /etc/rc.log)...
Also try /sbin/rc.dtlogin reset or stop|start.

But, the problem persists.
When I start the emctl, and I try to start de web console, then appears the same error.

Re: I just reboot server, but Xwindows doesn't work
nslookup runs ok, and return the correct IP.
But on rc.log appears:
{Temis:ias9-Test 379>> tail rc.log
Arrencant Xvfb
Output from "/sbin/rc3.d/S99Xvfb start":
----------------------------
/sbin/rc3.d/S99Xvfb[6]: nohup: not found.

Re: I just reboot server, but Xwindows doesn't work
This is an idea, but, the Xwindows runs ok before the reboot, then.... I'm trying to restart the X environment without apply any patch.
Thanks

Re: I just reboot server, but Xwindows doesn't work
Few things:
1) You may not be able to fix this without a patch.
2) Check your settings in /etc/rc.config.d/xvfb
There may be a problem between these settings and the application using the X process.
xvfb is designed to let Oracle reports and similar applications run on a machine with no graphics card. It enables such products to render reports.
Regular X windows requires the font server to be enabled. /etc/rc.config.d/xfs
Make sure the first variable is set to 1 and manually start it as follows:
/sbin/init.d/xfs start

Re: I just reboot server, but Xwindows doesn't work
This IP, is the IP of the server I have rebooted.
Where I am launching all the commands you say, where I am changing the configuration files... etc.
Thanks

Re: I just reboot server, but Xwindows doesn't work
The parameter is set as 1:
# more Xvfb
xterm=1
And the xvfb is running:
#ps -ef | grep xfs
root 39 0 0 Nov 25 ? 20:17 vxfsd
ias9 8596 6744 3 12:13:01 pts/tb 0:00 grep xfs
root 5968 1 0 10:52:42 ? 0:00 /usr/bin/X11/xfs -config /etc/X1
1/fs/config -port 7000 -daemon
Thanks,
