Re: I/O and dump
To be frank with you, the answer of your question is : this is the error message when you try to install something on your system.
You need to check on the system log (SL) on your MP (Management Processor) :
1. from your console, press 'CTRL+B'
2. input the user/password
(Admin/Admin OR Oper/Oper)
3. type SL > E > T
4. check also the power status (PS) :
type CM > PS
5. check the LED status on your system
from MP prompt, type VFP
You can check the PIM information from BCH mode, goto INFO >PIMINFO
If you can describe more detail about the situation, it's very help to narrow down to the exact problem.
As stated on the message above, it's better you log a call also to HP.
Hope this information can help you.
Cheers,
AW

Re: I/O and dump
See the url below :
Supported system on HP-UX 11.i v1:
http://www.docs.hp.com/en/5990-7279/ch03s01.html
Supported system on HP-UX 11.00 :
http://www.docs.hp.com/en/5990-6721/ch01s08.html
RP3440 is for HP-UX 11.i NOT HP-UX 11.00.
So it's looks like you used wrong version to install RP3440 OR some problem on the hardware (for troubleshooting check previous reply from me).
Hope this information can help you.
Cheers,
AW
