SolutionUse a combination of
lanscan
This gets you all the NICs including lanX ID & MACs & HW addresses
and
netstat -in
This will relate the lanX to the IP & only NICs with IPs will be in use. Then relate the HW address to the NIC to the IP.
HTH,
Jeff

Re: ID LAN cards
lanadmin will show you which lan instance maps to which IP address.
"rad -q" will show you which PCI Slot tha HW address of each lan card maps..

Re: ID LAN cards
Robert that's the ticket for determining slot. In a rad -q output the last two digits in the first column denote chassis-slot & that is labeled on the back.

Re: ID LAN cards
This boxen is what convinced me HP has got more to offer than Sun as it demonstrates HP's complete Partitioning Continuum -- hard partitions, to vPars to processor sets. One can have theorethically up to 4+ vPars on this box... in additionto 2 hard partitions - nPars.
